Berry Apple Kale Revitalizer

This smoothie will give you one giant supply of kick ass antioxidants while squelching inflammation and providing promising brain, heart and blood sugar protection. Trust me, you won't even think twice about drinking kale. If you don't have Pink Lady or Red Delicious apples, feel free to experiment with other varieties including Granny Smith, but make sure you always go Organic.

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

1 cup coconut milk

1 cup Lacinato (dinosaur) kale

1/2 cup berries, fresh or frozen

1/2 apple, cored

Loads of love

Directions

1Wash and prep all ingredients.

2In a high-speed blender, blend all ingredients.

3Serve and enjoy with love!

I'm a fan of Trader Joe's unsweetened coconut milk or canned coconut milk from Native Forest which you can purchase from your local health food store or Whole Foods Market.

I also love using frozen berries especially when they're not in season makes plus it makes for a cool taste without adding ice cubes. Feel free to sub out Lacinato kale (AKA dinosaur kale) for baby kale or spinach.
