Peppermint Body Butter

This luxurious and silky body butter is simple, easy and au natural!  The peppermint will stimulate and uplift your spirits while the shea butter and olive oil highly moisturize your skin.

  • Yields: 16 Ounces or 4 Jars

Ingredients

10 ounces shea butter

6 ounces olive oil

2 teaspoons arrowroot powder

10 drops peppermint essential oil

Directions

1Melt shea butter in a double boiler.

2Once melted, remove bowl from heat and add olive oil, arrowroot powder and essential oil.

3Stir to combine.

4Sit bowl inside an ice bath (in a bigger bowl with ice/water) to cool.

5Once cooled, whisk mixture together like whipped cream.

6As it becomes more solid, put into glass jars, seal and refridgerate.

FAB Tip: Feel free to infuse your next batch with rose petals, calendula or lavender flowers for their healing properties.

I love to use these glass jars that come with spatulas and labels when making body creams and butters so you make sure no germs are added to your creams or butters.

Arrowroot powder is a thickening agent like cornstarch.  You can get it at your local health food or grocery store.
