High C Tonic Tea

A deliciously tasty immune boosting medicinal tea to drink at home. This brew is similar to making an infusion but it's allowed to soften for a longer amount of time allowed a number of medicinal consitutents to be drawn out for your body to absorb!
- Prep: 10 mins
- Cook: 5 mins
- Yields: 1 Cup, 1 Serving
1Boil 1 cup of filtered water.
2Pour the hot water over 1 tablespoon of herb and infuse for 15-30 minutes depending on the herb(s) of choice.
3Cover the pot when infusing herbs with a high volatile oil content.
4Strain herbs and press out as much liquid from the herb as possible.
5Enjoy your tea.
FAB Tip: Drink this baby up within 12-24 hours of making or store in the fridge to deter spoilage. Also, make sure you make enough for the entire day the night before to save on prep time. 🙂
For dried herbs, I typically head to my local Whole Foods Market. If you're not close to one, I like to order from Mountain Rose Herbs.
